Prophet Isaعيسى
Also written: Jesus, Eesa, Isa ibn Maryam, Jesus in Islam
Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, is one of the greatest messengers of Allah in Islam, born miraculously to Maryam (Mary) without a father. Muslims believe he was a human prophet and servant of Allah, not the son of God, who called people to worship Allah alone, performed miracles by Allah’s permission, and was raised alive to Allah rather than crucified (Surah an-Nisa 4:157-158).

“Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.”
Who was Prophet Isa?
The story of Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, begins with his mother. Allah chose Maryam, purified her, and honoured her above the women of the worlds (Surah Ali ’Imran 3:42). Angels brought her news of a son, al-Masih Isa ibn Maryam, honoured in this world and the next (3:45). When she asked how she could have a child when no man had touched her, the answer was that Allah creates what He wills: when He decrees a thing He says “Be,” and it is (3:47). Isa was born by Allah’s command alone. When her people accused Maryam, she stayed silent and pointed to the baby, and the newborn spoke: “I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet” (Surah Maryam 19:27-33).
Isa grew up and was sent as a messenger to the Children of Israel with the same message every prophet carried: “Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path” (3:51). Allah gave him signs to confirm his message. He shaped a bird from clay and breathed into it, and by Allah’s permission it became a living bird; he healed the blind and the sick, again by Allah’s permission (3:49). When he asked who would be his helpers, his disciples, the Hawariyyun, answered, “We are the helpers of Allah” (3:52). At their request he prayed for a table of food from the sky, and Allah sent it down as a sign and a provision (Surah al-Ma’idah 5:112-115).
Some among his people plotted against him, but the Qur’an is explicit about what happened: they did not kill him and did not crucify him, though it was made to appear so to them; rather, Allah raised him up to Himself (Surah an-Nisa 4:157-158). Muslims believe Isa is alive with Allah and will return before the end of time, as the hadith describe. His story is told so that no one mistakes the servant for the Master: every wonder Isa performed came from Allah, and Isa himself never claimed to be anything more than Allah’s servant and messenger.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
Picture a small crowd, gathered in a dusty little town. In the middle of them stands a young woman, holding a tiny newborn baby in her arms, a baby only a few days old. But the people are not smiling. They are pointing at her. They are saying unkind things... accusing her of doing something wrong.
She does not argue. She does not even speak a single word. She only... points. Down at the tiny baby resting in her arms.
"How can we talk to a baby?" the people frown. "A little baby... who cannot even speak?"
And then... the tiny baby opens his mouth. And in a small, clear voice, a voice a newborn could never have, he begins to speak. Full, clear words, for everyone to hear.
A baby who spoke before he could even crawl. Who was he? And what did he say?
To find out, we have to wind the whole story back, back before that baby was even born. This is the story of Prophet Isa... alayhi salaam... the son of Maryam.
Long, long ago... in a blessed land... there lived a young woman named Maryam.
Maryam was pure, and gentle, and good. Of all the things in the whole world... she loved Allah the most.
She had a small, quiet room where she worshipped. She prayed there. She remembered Allah there. Morning... and evening... her heart turned to Him... the way a flower turns toward the sun.
And Allah loved Maryam. He chose her... and made her pure... and honored her above the women of all the worlds.
One day... something amazing happened in that quiet room.
Angels came to her. And they brought her news from Allah. Glad tidings... wrapped in wonder.
"O Maryam," they said. "Allah gives you good news... of a son. His name will be al-Masih... Isa... the son of Maryam. He will be honored in this world... and in the next... and he will be one of those closest to Allah."
Maryam was amazed. "How can I have a son," she asked, "when no man has ever touched me?"
And the answer came... soft and sure.
"So it will be. Allah creates whatever He wills. When Allah decrees a thing... He only says to it..."
"Kun... fa-yakūn."
"Be... and it is."
Think of that, little one. Allah does not need anything at all... to make anything at all.
He made the sun without a lamp. He made the sea without a single drop of rain. And now... He would make a baby... with no father.
Not because Isa was anything more than a human being. No. Isa would be Allah's servant... and Allah's prophet. A boy... then a man... who ate food, and slept, and prayed... just like us.
But his coming into the world... would be a sign. A sign that Allah... can do anything.
And so, by the power of Allah alone... baby Isa was born.
Outside, the breeze moved softly through the trees... and a tiny stream whispered nearby... and Maryam held her little son close.
After some days... Maryam carried her baby home... to her people.
But when the people saw her with a baby in her arms... they did not understand. They had not seen the angels. They had not heard the promise.
And so they said unkind words to her. "O Maryam... what is this? Your family was so good and honest. What have you done?"
The words stung like cold wind. But Maryam did not argue. She did not even speak. Allah had told her... to stay silent that day... and to let Him take care of everything.
So she simply... pointed. Pointed to the tiny baby... sleeping in her arms.
The people frowned. "How can we talk... to a baby in the cradle?"
And then... it happened.
The baby opened his eyes. And he spoke. A newborn baby... speaking... clearly... calmly... by Allah's permission... for all the people to hear.
"Innī ʿabdullāh."
"I am the servant of Allah."
"He has given me the Book... and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am... and told me to pray, and to give to the poor, as long as I live... and to be kind and good to my mother."
The people went completely still. No one had ever heard anything like it. A baby... defending his mother... telling the truth about who he was... a servant of Allah... a prophet of Allah.
Imagine standing in that crowd... holding your breath... hearing a tiny baby speak... clear as a bell.
And every unkind word... melted away into silence.
Allah had protected Maryam... without her saying a single thing. She only trusted Him... and He spoke for her... through a miracle.
Take one more slow, soft breath, little one... in... and out... like the breeze in the olive trees.
The years passed gently... and Isa grew. From a baby... to a boy... to a man.
And when the time was right... Allah sent him as a messenger to his people... with a beautiful message. The same message every prophet has ever carried.
"Worship Allah," Prophet Isa told them. "My Lord... and your Lord. This is the straight path."
And Allah gave His prophet signs. Wonders. Miracles... so the people would know his message was true.
Listen to this one.
Prophet Isa would take soft clay... just simple clay, like mud by a river... and shape it... into the form of a little bird.
Then he would breathe into it...
...and by Allah's permission... only by Allah's permission... the clay would flutter... and warm... and become a real bird. A living bird! It would spread its little wings... and fly away into the sky.
Not by Isa's own power. Never. Isa could not create anything by himself... and he never said he could. It was Allah who gave that bird its life... just as Allah gives every bird... every fish... every child... their life.
The miracle was Allah's. The prophet was only His servant.
And there was more. People who were sick... people who had been sick for years and years... came to Prophet Isa. People whose eyes could not see. People no doctor could help.
And he would pray... and touch them gently... and by Allah's permission... they were healed. Eyes opened. Weakness turned to strength. Sadness turned to joy.
And every single time... Prophet Isa said the same thing. This is from Allah. Worship Him alone. My Lord... and your Lord.
I wonder how it felt... to watch a little clay bird lift into the wind... and know that Allah... can do anything.
Now... some people believed Prophet Isa. And some people... did not.
So one day, he asked a question. "Who will be my helpers... for the sake of Allah?"
And a small group of true friends stepped forward. They were called the Hawariyyun... the disciples... the loyal helpers.
"Naḥnu anṣāru-llāh," they said. "We are the helpers of Allah. We believe in Allah... and we bear witness that we are Muslims... surrendered to Him."
They stayed by their prophet. They learned from him. They prayed with him.
And one day... the helpers came to Prophet Isa with a wish.
"Could your Lord send down to us... a table of food... from the sky? We want to eat from it... and let our hearts feel calm and sure... and be among those who witness a miracle."
So Prophet Isa raised his hands... and made a beautiful dua. Listen to how he asked.
"Allāhumma rabbanā... anzil ʿalaynā mā'idatan mina-s-samā'..."
"O Allah, our Lord... send down to us a table spread with food, from the sky... a feast for us... and a sign from You. And provide for us... for You are the very best of providers."
And Allah answered.
Down from the sky... by Allah's power... came a table... spread with food. A gift straight from the Most Generous.
The helpers ate... and their hearts settled... and grew full of thankfulness.
Because here is the secret of that table, little one. Every meal you have ever eaten... came from Allah too.
The bread on your plate. The fruit in your bowl. The warm milk in your cup. It does not fall from the sky in front of you... but it all comes from Him... the Best of Providers... every single day.
That is why we say... "Alḥamdulillāh." All praise and thanks belong to Allah.
Prophet Isa kept calling people to Allah... gently... truthfully... year after year.
But some men in the city had hard hearts. They did not want his message. And in secret... they made a plan against him.
They planned... and they plotted... and they whispered.
But little one... hear this... and keep it in your heart forever.
No plan... can ever beat the plan of Allah.
They planned... and Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.
Those men could not harm Prophet Isa. Not even a little. Not at all. Allah did not let them touch His beloved prophet.
Instead... Allah raised him up. Gently... the way the breeze lifts a leaf from the hillside... up... and up... to Himself.
Imagine being lifted that gently, little one... the way strong, loving arms carry you to bed... when you are already half asleep.
That is how safe he was. Safe... and honored... and at peace. Like a treasured guest... lifted softly out of reach... into the care of the Most Merciful.
And the men with the hard hearts? Their plan fell apart... into nothing at all. Allah had already carried His prophet... far, far beyond their reach.
And over the hillside... the breeze moved on through the olive trees... calm... and slow... as if nothing in the world... had ever been safer.
And one day... when Allah wills... Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam, will return to this world again. That is Allah's promise... and Allah always keeps His promises.
But that... is a story for another night.
That is the story of Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam... the son of Maryam. A baby who spoke in the cradle. A prophet who healed the sick and gave life to a little clay bird, always, always by Allah's permission. A servant of Allah, and His messenger, who called everyone to worship Allah alone. And when unkind men plotted against him, they could not touch him at all, for Allah raised him up, safe and honored, to Himself.
And now... slowly... we leave that quiet hillside and its olive trees behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry Prophet Isa with you, wherever you go. He was never more than a beloved servant of Allah, never Allah's son, never a god, and every wonder he ever did came from Allah alone. The same Allah who heard Maryam's quiet heart... who made a baby speak... who gave life to a little clay bird... who sent a table down from the sky... who kept His prophet perfectly safe... is the very same Allah who is taking care of you, right now. He sees you. He hears you. He provides for you... every single day.
So carry Prophet Isa's own message with you, the words he called his people to. They mean... indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
We're going down a warm and dusty road... winding toward a little hillside town, where a young mother is carrying a very special baby home.
And here we are, on a dusty path winding down toward a little town. The path is warm underfoot, and the leaves whisper softly overhead. Listen, very quietly... you can almost hear a heartbeat. A soft, steady heartbeat. Thump... thump. Slow... and warm.
Long, long ago... in a land of olive trees and quiet hills... where the morning light came down soft and golden... there lived a woman named Maryam, alayha salaam.
Maryam loved Allah more than anything. She prayed to Him in the morning. She prayed to Him at night. Her heart was pure... and gentle... and true.
And Allah gave Maryam a gift. A miracle. A little baby boy... all her own.
One soft morning... Maryam walked back toward her town... carrying her new baby close. The path was dusty and warm under her feet. The leaves whispered above her head.
And the baby's small, warm hand rested against her chest... right over her heartbeat. Thump... thump. Slow and warm. He was fast asleep... breathing softly... safe in her arms.
But Maryam's own heart... was beating fast. Because Allah had asked her to make a special promise that day. A promise of quiet. She was not to speak to anyone. Not one single word.
Allah would send the answer... for her.
When the people of the town saw Maryam carrying a baby... they did not understand. And they said unkind things.
Maryam felt small. Her cheeks went warm. Her eyes stung... just a little. She wanted so much to explain... but she had made her promise to Allah.
So she held her baby a little closer. Can you feel it? How gently she held him... like something precious... something soft.
Take one slow, quiet breath... as soft... and as quiet... as her promise.
And then... she did the only thing she could do. She pointed. Down at the tiny baby... resting in her arms.
The people frowned. "How can we talk to a baby?" they said. "A little baby in the cradle... who cannot even speak?"
But Allah can do anything.
And by Allah's permission... the tiny baby opened his eyes. And he spoke. In a small, clear voice... that everyone could hear.
"Innī ʿabdullāh."
"I am the servant of Allah."
"Ātāniya-l-kitāba... wa jaʿalanī nabiyyā."
"He has given me the Book... and made me a prophet."
The whole crowd went very, very still. The wind went quiet in the olive trees. Nobody said another unkind word. A baby... a newborn baby... had spoken... because Allah wished it.
And that baby... was Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam. The servant of Allah... and His prophet.
Maryam did not have to say anything at all. She kept her promise... and Allah answered for her... through her baby's own voice... by His permission. Allah protected her... in a way nobody could ever have imagined.
Little one... sometimes you may not have the words. Sometimes others may not understand you. And you may feel small... just like Maryam felt that day.
But Allah always knows the truth about you. He sees your quiet, gentle heart. And He can help you... in ways nobody expects.
I wonder how many quiet promises... Allah has answered... with wonders.
And now... slowly... we leave that dusty path and that little town behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry the heartbeat of that day with you, wherever you go. When you have no words, and nobody seems to understand you, remember Maryam, she stayed quiet and trusted Allah, and Allah answered for her in a way no one could have imagined. Allah always knows the truth about you. And He can help you in ways nobody expects.
So carry the very first words that baby ever spoke. They mean... indeed, I am the servant of Allah.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
We're going into the middle of a busy village square... where a small crowd has gathered on the warm earth, waiting to see something they will never forget.
And here we are. Feel the sun on your shoulders, and the soft dust between your toes. In the middle of the crowd, a gentle man kneels down beside the cool, cool ground. Listen, very quietly... a soft flutter is coming... like small wings, somewhere close. Flutter... flutter. Gentle... and light.
Long, long ago... in a land of olive trees and quiet hills... there lived a prophet named Isa, alayhi salaam. The servant of Allah... and His prophet.
Allah had sent him to the people... to call them back to their Lord. But some of the people were not sure. *How do we know,* they wondered, *that Allah really sent him?*
Their hearts needed to see something true. So Allah gave His prophet a sign... a gentle wonder... to show them.
One quiet day... Prophet Isa knelt down... beside the cool, soft earth.
He took a small handful of clay. Smooth... and cool... and soft, like dough.
Can you feel it? Cool, soft clay... resting in your hands... gentle under your fingers.
And slowly... carefully... he began to shape it. A small round body. A tiny beak. Two little wings... folded close... the way a bird folds its wings when it sleeps.
The people leaned in to look. It was lovely. But it was only clay. Still... and quiet... and cool. Clay cannot blink. Clay cannot sing. Clay cannot fly.
Prophet Isa held the little clay bird gently in his hands. The whole crowd held its breath... still as the clay itself. And the people were about to learn something true. Only Allah gives life. Only Allah... can do this.
Take one slow, gentle breath now... in... and out... soft as a feather.
And Prophet Isa leaned close... and breathed softly... into the little clay bird.
And then... *bi-idhnillāh*... by Allah's permission... the little clay wings trembled.
A tiny flutter. Then another. The small body grew warm... warmth spreading through it... from beak to tail... the way sunshine warms a stone. The little eyes blinked open... bright... and alive.
And *bi-idhnillāh*... by Allah's permission... the little bird opened its small wings... flutter... flutter... and lifted up... up into the wide blue sky.
The people watched it go... higher and higher... until it was a tiny speck of joy in the light. And their hearts went soft and full of wonder.
Prophet Isa did not make the bird alive. He was Allah's servant... and he would tell you so himself. The breath was small. The clay was cool. But the life... the life came from Allah alone.
Little one... do you know... it is still that way... every single day?
Every bird that flies across the morning sky... flies by Allah's permission. Every flower that opens... opens by Allah's permission. And every soft breath you take... right now... wherever you are... comes from Allah... who cares for you... and keeps you.
I wonder how many little wings... are lifting into the wind right now... all around the world... by Allah's permission.
And now... slowly... we leave that hillside and that little clay bird behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry the wonder of that little bird with you, wherever you go. Prophet Isa never made anything alive by himself, he was Allah's servant, and he would tell you so himself. It was Allah who gave that bird its life, just as Allah gives life to every bird, every flower, and every soft breath you take. So whenever you see a bird lift into the sky, remember... only Allah can do that.
So carry these words of wonder with you. They mean... Glory to Allah, and all praise is His... Glory to Allah, the Most Great.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
We're going up onto a quiet green hillside... where a group of friends is gathering under the open evening sky.
And here we are. The day is fading, and a cool hush is settling over the hills. Breathe in... can you smell it? The warm, cozy smell of fresh bread, rising gently into the quiet evening air. Mmm. Warm... and soft... and golden. And gathered nearby is a gentle prophet, sitting close with his dearest friends.
Long, long ago... in a land of olive trees and gentle hills... lived Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam. The servant of Allah... and His messenger.
Prophet Isa had faithful friends who loved Allah. They were called the hawariyyun... his closest helpers. They walked with him. They prayed with him. They listened to every word he taught them about Allah.
One evening... they all sat together under the open sky. The day was ending. The light was turning soft and blue. And the very first star... blinked awake... high above them.
And the friends felt something... a small, wishing feeling... right in the middle of their chests.
They turned to Prophet Isa and asked... "Would your Lord send down for us... a table from the sky? A feast... sent from Allah Himself?"
They were not being greedy. Their hearts just wanted to feel sure... and settled... and full of peace. The way your heart feels... when someone you love... keeps a promise.
Take one slow, quiet breath... like the still evening air around them.
Now... Prophet Isa knew something very important. No person can send food from the sky. Not a king. Not even a prophet. Only Allah feeds His creation.
So Prophet Isa raised his hands toward the sky... and he prayed.
*"Allāhumma rabbanā... anzil ʿalaynā māʾidatan mina-s-samāʾ."*
"O Allah, our Lord... send down to us... a table from the sky."
*"Warzuqnā... wa anta khayru-r-rāziqīn."*
"And provide for us... for You are the best... of all providers."
And Allah answered him.
Down through the soft evening sky... it came. Gently... gently... like a leaf drifting down... a table. Spread with good things to eat... a gift from Allah... under the watching stars.
Can you imagine the smell? Maybe warm bread... fresh and soft, with little curls of steam rising up. Maybe sweet fruit... like honey and sunshine. Mmm.
The friends looked at the table... and up at the stars... and their hearts went quiet and full... like a little cup... filled right up to the top.
Alhamdulillah, they whispered. All thanks belong to Allah.
Their wishing feeling was gone. Now they felt sure. Allah hears. Allah answers. Allah feeds.
Little one... Allah fed them that night. And do you know something wonderful? Allah feeds everyone... everywhere... every single day.
The little birds in their nests. The fish deep in the sea. The kittens... and the camels... and the ants carrying their crumbs.
And you. Every meal on your table... every bite of warm bread... every piece of sweet fruit... is a gift from Allah. He is the best of all who feed.
So when your tummy is happy and full... you can whisper... Alhamdulillah. Thank You, Allah.
And now... slowly... we leave that starlit table behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry the secret of that table with you, wherever you go. Allah fed His prophet's friends that night, and Allah feeds everyone, everywhere, every single day. The little birds in their nests, the fish deep in the sea, and you: every meal on your table, every bite of warm bread, is a gift from Him, the Best of all who provide. So whenever your tummy is happy and full, remember to thank the One who fed you.
So carry this thankful little dua with you. It means... all thanks belong to Allah... who fed us... and gave us drink... and made us Muslims.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
We're going into a small, walled garden... on a soft evening, just as the moon is climbing into the sky.
And here we are. Look up, the moon is round and quiet, pouring its gentle white light over the hills, and everything it touches turns soft. Gathered here in that silver light is a gentle man, with kind hands and a gentle voice... and he is about to ask his friends one shining question.
Long, long ago... in a land of olive trees and quiet hills... there lived a man named Isa. Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam. The same tiny baby who once spoke from his mother's arms... was all grown now.
His voice was gentle. His hands were kind. And Allah had given him a beautiful message to carry... a message about loving Allah... and worshipping Him alone... the One who made the moon... and the hills... and you.
But a message like that... is a big thing to carry. Too big... for one pair of hands.
Prophet Isa needed friends. Helpers. People to walk beside him... and carry the message too.
So one evening... when the day's work was done... and the birds were settling into the olive trees... he looked at the people around him. The evening was full... and quiet... and waiting.
Can you hear them? The little birds... settling soft into the branches... one by one.
And he asked a question. One gentle, shining question.
"Man anṣārī ila-llāh?"
"Who will be my helpers... for Allah?"
For a moment... everything was still. Even the wind in the olive leaves... held its breath.
And then... they stepped forward. His closest friends. The hawariyyun... in garments white like moonlight... white and clean and soft... as the moon itself.
They did not step forward because they were the biggest people there. Or the strongest. Or the most important. They stepped forward... because their hearts said yes.
And they answered... all together... in one warm voice:
"Naḥnu anṣārullāh."
"We are the helpers of Allah. We believe in Allah... and bear witness... that we are Muslims."
Can you feel it? That warm little glow... right in the middle of your chest? That is what it feels like... to belong. To stand together... on Allah's team. Not alone anymore. Never alone.
And the whole evening went soft and bright... like a lamp being lit in a dark room. Prophet Isa was not carrying the message alone anymore. His friends stood beside him... moonlight-white... and true.
Take one slow, quiet breath... like the hush of that evening sky.
Now... here is a secret, little one. A lovely secret.
You do not have to be big... to be a helper of Allah. You do not have to be tall... or strong... or grown.
When you help your mama carry something heavy... you are helping for Allah.
When you share your toys... even the one you love best... you are helping for Allah.
When you whisper Bismillah... before you eat... before you sleep... you are on His team too. A small voice... saying His great name.
Small hands... can do Allah's big, beautiful work. And every kind thing you do... Allah sees. Every single one.
I wonder how many quiet little helpers... are doing kind things right now... all over the world... with Allah watching over them.
And now... slowly... we leave that moonlit hillside behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry that shining question with you, wherever you go. You do not have to be big, or tall, or strong to be a helper of Allah. When you help your mama, when you share your favorite toy, when you whisper Bismillah before you eat... small hands can do Allah's big, beautiful work, and He sees every single kind thing you do. You are one of His little helpers, wherever you are.
So carry these words with you, the promise those helpers made to Allah. They mean... You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.

Come with me. Today, we're going on a journey... far, far away... and long, long ago.
We're going to a little house perched high on a hillside... under a wide night sky scattered with stars.
And here we are. Way up high, the stars are glowing, soft, and steady... soft, and steady. The night air is cool and still. And down below, in a small house on the hillside, lives a gentle man who loves Allah with his whole heart.
Long, long ago... in that land of olive trees and quiet hills... there lived a man named Prophet Isa, alayhi salaam.
Do you remember him? He was the tiny baby who spoke... before he could even crawl. But now he was grown. Gentle and kind.
He loved Allah with his whole heart. He taught the people gentle words. He helped the sick feel better... by Allah's permission. And the same stars you can see tonight... glowed over his land too... soft and steady.
But some men did not want to listen to him. Unkind men. And quietly... they made a plan against Allah's prophet.
They did not know a very important thing. Shall I whisper it to you?
Allah's plan... is always greater.
Prophet Isa trusted Allah completely... the way all of Allah's prophets do.
Because he knew who was taking care of him. The One who made the stars. The One who is stronger than every danger... everywhere... always.
Can you feel it? That still, warm feeling... of being completely looked after?
Take one slow, quiet breath... safe... just like Allah kept His prophet safe.
And then... Allah kept His prophet perfectly safe.
The unkind men could not harm him. Not even a little. Not one hair. Their plan simply... melted away... like mist in the morning sun.
Because Allah lifted him. Gently... softly... like a leaf riding a warm breeze... Allah raised Prophet Isa up... and up... and up.
*"Bal rafaʿahu Allāhu ilayh."*
"No... Allah raised him up to Himself."
Safe. Honored. Wrapped in Allah's care... higher than any hand could ever reach.
Nobody on earth could touch him. Nobody ever did. Allah's beloved prophet... perfectly safe... perfectly loved.
And one day... when Allah wills... Prophet Isa will come back down to us... as gentle as morning light.
Little one... the very same Allah who kept His prophet safe... is watching over you. Right now. This very night.
While you lie here, warm in your bed... Allah sees you. He is closer than close. And He is stronger than anything... anything at all.
So if a worry ever comes... you can remember tonight. Unkind plans melt away. But Allah's plan is always greater. And you... are in His care.
I wonder how many children... Allah is watching over right now... under this very sky.
And now... slowly... we leave that starry hillside behind... and travel back home. To right here. Right now.
But carry this with you, wherever you go. Those unkind men could not harm Allah's prophet, not even one hair, because Allah lifted him up, safe and honored, higher than any hand could ever reach. They did not kill him, and Allah raised him up to Himself. So if a worry ever comes to you, remember: unkind plans melt away like mist in the morning sun, but Allah's plan is always greater... and you are always in His care.
So carry this dua with you. It means... in the name of Allah... with His name, nothing can harm me... not on the earth... and not in the sky.
*Bismillāhi alladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa ismihi shayʾun fi-l-arḍi wa lā fi-s-samāʾ... wa Huwa-s-Samīʿu-l-ʿAlīm.*

Questions about Prophet Isa
Is Jesus a prophet in Islam?+
Yes. Jesus, called Isa in Arabic, peace be upon him, is one of the greatest prophets and messengers of Allah in Islam. Muslims believe he was born miraculously to the virgin Maryam and performed miracles by Allah’s permission, but he is not divine and not the son of God: “The Messiah, son of Maryam, was no more than a messenger” (Surah al-Ma’idah 5:75).
Who was Prophet Isa?+
Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, was a prophet of Allah sent to the Children of Israel, born without a father to Maryam by Allah’s command. His story appears across the Qur’an, especially in Surah Ali ’Imran (3:42-55), Surah Maryam (19:16-36), and Surah al-Ma’idah (5:110-118).
Was Jesus crucified according to the Quran?+
No. The Qur’an states that they did not kill him and did not crucify him, but it was made to appear so to them, and that Allah raised him up to Himself (Surah an-Nisa 4:157-158). Muslims believe Isa is alive with Allah and will return before the Day of Judgment, as described in the hadith.
What miracles did Prophet Isa perform?+
By Allah’s permission, Isa spoke as a newborn in the cradle (Surah Maryam 19:29-33), formed a bird from clay that became alive, and healed the blind and the sick (Surah Ali ’Imran 3:49). Allah also sent down a table of food from the sky at his prayer (Surah al-Ma’idah 5:114-115). Each miracle was Allah’s act, not his own power.
What can children learn from the story of Prophet Isa?+
That Allah alone gives life and provides every meal, that trusting Allah when others misjudge you is answered in ways no one expects, and that no plan can defeat Allah’s plan. Children also learn Isa’s own message: worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.
